FLV Player Thumbs Menu

Here we are using the media player with thumbs in the navigation menu. It's using ajax which can be good in it's place, but is not search engine friendly nor can a video be linked to. If you have descriptions with your video or want them linkable, then doing it with separate url's like on our video blog example is better.

This demo is using Jeroen Wijering' excellents open source Media Player. Some time ago it was changed to using SWFObject: Javascript Flash Player detection and embed script by deconcept. This has several benefits, one of which enables the code to validate, the other removes the annoying Internet Explorer's click to activate nonsense. Note the full screen option. Note: The thumbs here demonstrate clicking to play, they can be anywhere, any size, and designed in any manner to match your design...

Some highlights are that it also has a built in playlist which can be below or beside the player, use an rss feed, xml feed, or use JS and thumbs for a manual menu like this demo. There is also a script that allows using a remote rss feed.
